One Mob Studios is a specialist Hip Hop and Breakdance School based in the northern suburb of Joondalup. One Mob’s aim is to promote a sense of community encouraging integration, friendship, acceptance, tolerance, culture and participation through dance. We aim to provide every student, regardless of age, the opportunity to learn dance in a fun and safe environment and to transform each student into talented performers.

Renowned dancer, teacher and choreographer Nelle Hokianga leads an outstanding crew of staff teaching Hip Hop, Breakdance, Commercial Jazz, Acrobatics, Lyrical and Contemporary Genres. Our teaching team aim to provide the highest quality in each lesson, and we continue to develop our skills through extra training with world renowned artists within Australia and aboard.

One Mob Studios is the home of Australian Hip Hop Crews Urban Youth Crew, Invictus, Koolade, Clique, SQUAD, 7.1.5, Future, KUBZ, Tykes and Phoenix who not only provides amazing role models for the students attending our classes, but also has a reputation for delivering outstanding performances and workshops throughout Australia.

We pride ourselves in providing teachers to primary, district and high schools throughout the Perth metropolitan and rural WA areas and to local government, not-for-profit and commercial agencies. One Mob Studios acts as an agency for artists supplying dancers and choreographers for television and film, corporate and community events. Our motto is “PEACE, LOVE, ONE MOB”.

SWAG KIDZ

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟐.

𝓢𝔀𝓪𝓰 𝓚𝓲𝓭𝔃 𝓗𝓲𝓹 𝓗𝓸𝓹 is a hip hop program designed for children aged 4-7 Years old. We prioritise our teaching of gross motor skills along with sequential learning and coordination.
In class our Swag Kids Class our dancers learn: Warm Ups, Breakdance Foundations, Acro Skills, Hip Hop Choreography and Ciphering.

In 2024 One Mob Studios is the home of 12 Competing Australian Hip Hop crews ranging in ages from our youngest company crew member being 5 years of age to some of our adult Phoenix ladies in their best years of their life in their 50’s.

I can't recommend One Mob studios enough. My eldest daughter initially came to a class as she was interested in going to a hip hop orientated dance studio. She now attends multiple classes in hip hop, jazz, lyrical and acro. My youngest loved watching and so joined, and now I attend the adult classes too. One Mob has a great family like, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. Nelle, the owner, has an amazing ability to instil confidence in her students - I have literally seen children or young adults too shy to go on stage to absolutely loving expressing themselves through dance. In the course of our nearly five years at the studio my children have competed in state, national and international competitions, danced at massive gigs and made great friendships. They always want to go to the studio and the families and older kids are friendly and inclusive to everyone who joins. Thanks Nelle and One Mob for all the great opportunities and fun we have all had at One Mob over the years!

3 1/2 years ago we made the decision to leave our dance studio that we had been attending for seven years! We had heard about ONE MOB through a friend so decided to check it out. The minute we walked through those doors we were welcomed with open arms and knew we had found our DANCE FAMILY!! We have never looked back or regretted our decision! My daughter loves being at the studio and has made so many amazing friends! Nelle treats every child like they are one of her own! And the teaching staff have become not only mentors but like older brothers and sisters to Rori! The classes are so much fun but they still learn so so much! I’ve never seen my daughter enjoy her dancing so much! It makes it so worthwhile to see the smile on her face and know that she wants to be there ALL THE TIME!!!! Our love for One Mob started 8 years ago. A promise kept for a boy's dream to give it a go and the best decision we made. Year by year we all started dancing; well, my kids dance (not sure what you call what I do but I give it a go!)
